Welcome, I'm Euan Craine, an architectural designer based on the Isle of Man.
Having been involved with several projects on the island, I am currently working towards full qualification as an architect with a view to working in the island's construction sector in the future.
Keen to pursue a career in the built environment, I am currently studying aspects of sustainable design and urbanism; subjects which have become increasingly dominant in recent years across all sectors of industry. As well as rendering the aesthetic qualities of structures, I am also keen to optimise an ecological response through the use of modern techniques such as energy modelling. Having a long family history on the Isle of Man, I feel a strong connection with the existing built environment and the social history it represents, and have a personal ambition of restoring an old water mill which has been in the family since the early 18th century.
I maintain several interests in art & design, music, and transport, some of which have spawned into avenues of business in their own right. Although I do not actively pursue them, they remain a part of my life and are sometimes a great source of inspiration when designing buildings. See my links section for projects I am currently involved with.
I have a portfolio of work available at www.architecture.im, where a printable portfolio is available for downloading. You can also view my Curriculum Vitae by clicking on the link below.
